# About Tesora: our mission and the team

# Give actuaries their judgment back.

Ask an actuary what they do and you get a pause before the answer. It is not modesty. They are deciding which part to describe, because pricing the book and defending the indication to a rate committee and answering the regulator and closing the quarter are all equally the job, and it was never really one job to begin with.

That shape is why so much AI aimed at this work disappoints. Automating a single step leaves the other nine standing, along with every handoff between them, and the handoffs are where the hours actually go and where the errors actually hide. So we built something wide rather than narrow, and built it for the reviewer as much as for the author, which is why every value the system fills in can be traced back to the cell or the page it came from.

None of this is meant to replace the actuary. Judgment is the part that should stay human, and the harder half of the problem is still ahead of us. A model only learns work like this if its attempts can be graded and handed back the way a reviewer hands them back, which means the people doing the grading have to be in the building. That is the frontier we are pushing on, and it is why our chief product officer is a former chief actuary rather than a software person.

## Meet our team.

Our philosophy is simple: hire great people and give them the tools to succeed.

Only the best need apply. See the open roles

## We are sponsoring the next generation of actuaries

Tesora is an executive sponsor of the Casualty Actuarial Society for the 2026-2027 program year. We are proud to support the CAS and its initiatives, including the open-source community meetings.

## Come build the rest of it.

There is a lot of work to do at the frontier. We are racing forward, and if you want to be part of it, please apply.
